Terms of Use

Plain-language terms for using Declassified Project. Read them with the Community Rules.

Agreement. By creating an account or posting, you agree to these Terms and the Community Rules.
Age. You must be at least 13 years old to make an account.
Your account. You're responsible for what's posted from your account. Keep your password private.
Your content. You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give Declassified Project permission to display, store and share it on the site. Only post material you have the right to share.
Moderation and discretion. Declassified Project may edit, hide or remove content, and suspend or ban accounts, for breaking the Rules or when staff judge it necessary to protect the community. Access to the forum is a privilege, not a right.
No endorsement. Posts are the views of their authors, not of Declassified Project. We don't verify every claim. Do your own research.
Copyright complaints. If you believe a post uses your copyrighted work without permission, email declassifiedproject51@gmail.com and we'll review and remove it if appropriate.
Privacy. We store your username, email address, posts, uploaded images and messages sent to staff to run the site. Messages to staff are visible to the whole staff team and the Site Admin. Uploaded photos have their location data removed. We don't sell your information. You can delete your account at any time from your Account page. Your posts stay up but show as [deleted] instead of your username, so threads still make sense. Deleted posts are kept for staff review for 90 days. If an account is banned or suspended when it's deleted, we keep a one-way fingerprint of its email (not the address) with the ban or suspension, so a banned email can't sign up again and a suspension carries over until it ends.
No warranty. The site is provided "as is," without guarantees of uptime or accuracy.
Changes. We may update these Terms. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new version.
