Community Rules

Short version: bring sources, keep it clean, and argue with the evidence, not the person.

Maximum truth. Maximum transparency. No narrative.

The record, reconsidered.

Our mission

Declassified Project exists to find out what actually happened. Members bring evidence, test claims, and follow the facts wherever they lead, whether that confirms a conspiracy, debunks one, or corrects the history books. No topic is off limits, including painful and sensitive history. The site takes no side. What counts is the evidence.

Evidence standard

  • Claims stand or fall on sources: primary documents, records, data, firsthand accounts, photos and video, with links.
  • Say which parts are documented fact, which are your inference, and which are speculation.
  • Rebut evidence with better evidence. Popularity, credentials and insults don't settle a debate here.
  • Questioning is allowed on every topic, including sensitive history. Members may challenge accepted accounts and point out inaccuracies, as long as they bring evidence and follow the rules on language and slurs. Others may answer with evidence of their own.
  • AI answers (Grok, ChatGPT and similar) are a starting point, not a source. Cite the underlying documents, records or data the AI points you to.
  • Corrections are welcome. Updating a thread when new evidence turns up is a mark of a good researcher.

Community rules

Our promise: Declassified Project is a forum for open debate. You can question anything here, whether it's the official story, the popular theory, or the people in charge. We won't remove a post because of the opinion in it. We ask for one thing in return: say it cleanly and respectfully.

What's welcome

  • Any topic in our sections, any viewpoint, any conclusion.
  • Strong disagreement, debunking, rebuttals and criticism of ideas, claims, sources and public figures.
  • Short replies and casual talk (General Chit-Chat), as long as the rules below are followed.

The rules

  1. Clean language. No profanity, slurs or vulgar wording, including censored versions like f*** that are meant to get around the rule.
  2. Attack the argument, not the person. No insults, name-calling or mocking other members, and no slurs or dehumanizing attacks on any group of people. Hard history can be discussed openly; hatred toward people is not part of that.
  3. No harassment or threats. No threats of violence, stalking, following members around the site, or encouraging others to target someone.
  4. No doxxing. Don't post anyone's private information (home address, phone, private email, workplace, family members, or non-public photos), and don't try to uncover who a member is.
  5. No spam or self-promotion floods. No ads, link farms, repeat posting, or posts that are only a link with nothing else.
  6. Show your work on research threads. Say where your claims come from (links, documents, photos, videos). Opinion is fine, but label it as opinion.
  7. No illegal content. Nothing that breaks US law, including pirated material, sexual content involving minors, or instructions for violence.
  8. No explicit or gory media unless it is necessary evidence, in which case it must be placed inside a spoiler block with a warning.
  9. One account per person. Making a second account to get around a ban or suspension leads to a permanent ban of every account involved.
  10. Respect staff decisions. If you disagree with a moderator action, appeal it privately (see below). Don't argue it out in public threads.
  11. New members start in "New to Declassified Project." Before you can start your own thread, post an introduction in "New to Declassified Project" (who you are, what interests you, what you'd like to research) and leave at least 10 replies on other members' threads, spread across at least 3 different threads. Short replies like "Great find, I'm going to look into this" are fine. Links in posts unlock at the same time.
  12. Rebuttals need evidence. If you disagree with a thread's evidence, say why and show your own research or sources. One-line dismissals like "No, that's fake" will be removed. Agreeing, thanking and asking questions can be short.

What happens when a rule is broken

StepActionWho can do it
1Post hidden or edited, plus a friendly reminderAny staff
2Formal warning, recorded on the accountAny staff
3Temporary suspension (1–7 days)Moderator and up
4Longer suspension (8–90 days)Super Moderator and up
5Permanent banSuper Moderator and up

Staff may skip steps for serious violations: threats, doxxing, illegal content, spam bots and ban evasion can lead to an immediate permanent ban.

Deleting your own threads

You can delete a thread you started from the thread page. It disappears for everyone, along with its replies. Deleted posts are kept for staff review for 90 days.

Appeals

Email declassifiedproject51@gmail.com with your username and the action you're appealing. A different staff member from the one who acted reviews it. The Site Admin's decision is final.

Signatures

You can add a signature, a short quote or line, that shows under your name on every post and on your profile. Keep it to 2 lines (about 150 characters), plain text only. Signatures follow the same rules as posts: clean language, no slurs, no attacks on people or groups. Links in signatures unlock at the same point as links in posts. Staff can clear a signature that breaks the rules.

Message the Mods

Use the "Message the Mods" button to contact staff privately with a question, report or appeal. Your message goes to the whole staff team, not to one moderator. Any staff member can answer, and the Site Admin can read every conversation. There are no private messages between members.
