About Declassified Project

Declassified Project exists to find out what actually happened. Members bring evidence, test claims, and follow the facts wherever they lead, whether that confirms a conspiracy, debunks one, or corrects the history books. No topic is off limits, including painful and sensitive history. The site takes no side. What counts is the evidence.

How it works

• Bring sources. Link documents, records, footage or studies, and say which parts are fact, which are inference, and which are speculation.
• Disagree with evidence. Rebuttals need counter-evidence. One-line dismissals get removed.
• 🛸 Well Sourced. Members give a UFO to threads and replies that back their claims up. It’s how good research rises.
• AI is a starting point, not a source. Every post has “Check with Grok” and “Check with ChatGPT” buttons. Use them to dig deeper, then cite the real source.
• Clean and civil. No profanity, slurs or attacks on people or groups. Ideas are fair game.

Clearance ranks

Every member has a clearance rank. It shows next to your name. You move up by earning points and spending time on the site. You need both: the points and the time. Each rank's badge is a set of chevrons: one to four chevrons as you climb, and Declassified wears the UFO command patch over five chevrons.

How you earn points

• +5 for each thread you start, up to 3 a day.
• +1 for each reply, up to 10 points a day (Pacific time).
• +3 when a member gives you a 🛸 UFO (Well Sourced). The member must be Confidential or higher. Each member counts once per thread.
• +10 for each full month you've been a member, if you posted in the 90 days before that month ended.

How you lose points

• -25 for each formal warning from staff.
• If a post is hidden or deleted, the points it earned go away. They come back if it's restored.
• Your score never goes below 0.

Scores update right away when something changes, and again once a day. The Site Admin always shows Declassified.

Founding Members

The first 100 members to join get a permanent Founding Member badge. It shows under your name on your posts and on your profile. It's awarded automatically, in signup order. Staff accounts don't count toward the 100.
